Last Saturday I went to the Beauty Trend Show at Nordstrom in South Coast Plaza. We arrived at 8.30 and the show had  already started. It was hosted by Cindy Tjon, Nordstrom Regional Beauty and Fragrance Director. She was awesome! Beauty brands presented their beautiful models who entertained people. The audience was very enthusiastic, a little bit too enthusiastic for this time of day. I drank a lot of coffee.

When the show was over we all went to the Beauty Department. That’s where it got really crazy!
I had an hour until my makeup appointment at Guerlain with the one and only Marcus Monson.
Of course, I couldn’t miss Yves Saint Laurent, one of the my most loved brands. Their makeup artist Rhonda put me in the chair and worked her magic. I was so relaxed, I didn’t follow exactly what she did . You can see the result below:

She used Teint Majeur SPF18 foundation №1 Ivory
It was a lot of their semi-loose Poudre Sur Mesure which I bought.
Pure Chromatic #7 from Summer Collection with red, golden and orange. Very avant-gard!
Blush – my favorite Cream de Blush №5
I also got Rouge Pur Glossy Stain #17 – bright pink on blue base.
And layers and layers on HG YSL EFC.
I loved my look so much! Rhonda is wonderful!

After that I went to Guerlain, where they cleaned my face. I had a lot of makeup on remember? In this picture I am being silly – one eye with makeup off and one – still made up.
After that I was treated to a mini facial! At this point I was in heaven! But that was just the beginning!

The reason I came to Guerlain was to meet National Makeup Artist Marcus Monson. I’ve met him before (wrote about it here). In the photo – Marcus and Guerlain National Director Mary Lynn and I. The photo on the left shows the most beautiful Guerlain Ombre Eclat Mono shadows and other products Marcus used on me.
I asked Marcus to help pick out some eyeshadows for me and show me simple makeup.
I grew a little bit tired using exotic colors on my eyes and need eyeshadows detox. I want to use Guerlain and Chanel mono shadows just to relax and de-stress.

Marcus picked the gorgeous L’Instant D’Une Emotion 185 – grey-ish green and one of the basic biege sheen pearly color.
It took him several minutes and 6 products to make me up! He used  Lingerie de Peau 12,   two eyeshadows, blush and lipstick Rouge G Rouge G Le Brilliant Brenda B61 which I bought and compact Meteorites as setting powder. No liner.
Marcus is a very charismatic person and visionary. If you ever get a chance to see him, don’t miss it and, please, say Hi for me!

Time for lunch. Nothing is better than a turkey sandvich and lemonade! Do you pay attention to my gorgeous  new YSL La Laque Couture Gris Deco? It’s such a statement nail polish!

There was great music produced by 2 DJs. They both are adorable!

My day kept going! All my readers are crazy about Kevianno, Dior National Makeup Artist (aka Sex God) (I cherish my memories about our first and second meetings).

Kevianno is on his way to develop his own brand and has so many beautiful and fresh ideas. I wish him the best of luck! He is so talanted and I hope to have a chance to make something together!

Meantime my husband (this man is a saint, he drove me there and spent the day in the store) also had fun. He had a massage, several cologne samples and received an old style shave at The Art Of Shaving. That’s him under the blanket.

That was my Saturday and Beauty Trend Show.
If it comes to your city, take the opportunity to go and have fun! I am so happy that I went!
